A. Easy Booking and Discounts!

To streamline your experience, you have two options: directly book equipment through our website or create a kit list by adding items to your shopping cart, then share the screenshot with us via WhatsApp or email. By doing so, you unlock the possibility of a fantastic discount, especially for non-commercial projects. We're passionate about supporting the indie film community!

B. Insurance and Security: Protecting Your Investment

Ensuring the safety of our equipment is paramount. Please provide the necessary proof of insurance and identity documents (details in the Insurance Requirements section below). For smaller kit hire jobs, a security deposit might apply, which will be promptly returned after the kit is back in our hands, undamaged and in good condition.

C. Hassle-free Payments

To confirm your reservation, kindly make the payment for kit hire and any additional transport costs upfront via direct debit or credit card. Consumables will be charged after your shoot, ensuring a seamless transaction process.

Insurance Requirements: Your Guide to Hassle-Free Rentals

At Luminarix, we want your production to proceed without a hitch. To ensure that, we require all clients to have valid hired-in equipment insurance that meets specific criteria:

• Matching Details: The insurance should match the name and address provided in your Luminarix account and clearly state the hired-in equipment amount, hire dates, and collection/return details.
• Adequate Coverage: The policy should cover all equipment hired for your production, not limited to items from Luminarix. Ensure that the total rental amount doesn't exceed the limit stated in your policy. Luminarix must be listed as the "Loss Payee" under Special Provisions.
• Continuing Hire Charges: Your policy must cover Luminarix for continuing hire charges for at least 13 weeks in case of a claim, ensuring uninterrupted service for future shoots.
• Unattended Vehicle Theft: Confirm that your coverage extends to instances of equipment being lost, stolen, or damaged while unattended in a vehicle. Policies with "Unattended Vehicle Theft Exclusion" won't be accepted.
